Holly Heuver—Freelance Content Writer
The fact that I get to write stories every day still makes me want to pinch myself. My freelancing journey as a content writer began in 2019 when I worked on projects in the evenings while working full-time at a digital marketing agency. At the agency, I worked as a copywriter and social media manager. In 2021, I took my content writing career in Vancouver full-time, and I haven’t looked back since.
I take pride in the quality of work I deliver to my clients. I’m organized and communicative every step of the way. Whether provided with a half-formed thought or a single keyword, I can write plenty from very little. The work I deliver is fine-tuned to your voice and grammar, ready to publish when you are.
I grew up on my family’s tree nursery. Thanks to my parents, I have a deep appreciation for gardening, trees, houseplants, and nature overall (and yes, I am named after the plant). I spent many afternoons outside, playing make-believe and imagining stories. My creativity as a child flourished into a deep love for writing which led me to study creative writing at the University of Victoria. Whenever writing and nature collide for me, I am at my happiest.
In my spare time, you’ll find me puttering in the garden, watching the latest Oscar’s buzz movie, fangirling over how much I love bees (buzz), catching up on my book club pick, heading to a concert, or crossing yet another location off my bucket list. Based in Vancouver, I am a content writer for clients across North America.
Besides content writing, I also work on creative writing projects for myself. My screenplay, Nobody, was a semifinalist in the 2021 Vancouver International Women in Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
